While you’d be hard-pushed to find a more convenient location than Apartment Chez Pépé 1's plum position just moments from everything Morzine has to offer, this luxury brand new home has much more than just its location to boast about.

Take the high-spec living area for a start. Architecturally stunning, with a vaulted ceiling and huge windows that let that glorious winter sun pour in, the lounge diner has huge comfy sofas, just made for nursing a brandy and listening to your favourite tunes streamed via the Bluetooth speaker dock, and do nothing but admire the mountain views with a glass of red in your hand.

However, if it’s all about being able to go car-free for the week, we’ve got that box ticked also (although there’s private parking if you need it). You’re just two minutes from the Super Morzine lift for access to Avoriaz and the extensive Portes du Soleil area, and you can see the Pleney lift, a five-minute walk away, from your balcony.

That means that while everyone else is still on the ski bus heading back to their accommodation, you can be relaxing in one of Morzine’s best bars and restaurants, enjoying a vin chaud, or a beer, having already popped back to your apartment to stash your skis and leave your boots on the dryers. Alternatively just jump into the outdoor hot tub waiting for you on the terrace, perfect for soaking away any aches and pains from a long day on the slopes.

Once back in the apartment, the fully-equipped kitchen will make light work of any food prep and after dinner at the large dining table, it’s time to slink off to the sofas — don’t worry about the washing up, a dishwasher will take care of that, and there’s even a Nespresso machine to make after-dinner coffees easy. Pop some music on the Bluetooth speaker while you make plans for tomorrow, or pick a Netflix film to watch on the Ultra HD TV.

The four comfortable, well-sized en suite bedrooms can be made up as twin beds or a king bed, depending on your needs and each boast their own balcony and ample storage — although there’s a washing machine and tumble dryer if you prefer to pack light. In addition, excellent glazing means that, even though you’re right in the centre of town, you won’t be disturbed by late night revellers.

If Apartment Chez Pépé 1 does tick all your holiday boxes but it’s not available the week you wanted, do take a look at Apartment Chez Pépé 2 (sleeps 12) which is in the same building and is decorated in the same elegant style and has very similar amenities and accommodation. And, if you want to make it a bigger trip with even more friends and family, it’s worth knowing that Chalet Pépé (which houses both the Chez Pépé apartments), can sleep a total of 20 people in all.
